At the regularly scheduled January board meeting, The West Plains School District Board of Education voted unanimously to extend the contract for Dr. John Mulford through June of 2018. This decision came as part of the West Plains School Board’s annual review of the superintendent. Dr. Mulford is completing his second year as superintendent helm and has received high marks from the School Board regarding his contribution to the district and the community.
The community is a vital partner of the West Plains School District and the district wants to learn about your experiences in our schools. Now through January 30th West Plains Schools invites the community to participate in a school community survey process called Thoughtexchange. In an effort to continue to improve education for our children, the district wants to understand community perspectives, hear the community’s thoughts and learn their priorities.
The West Plains High School baseball team will host a sports trivia night on February 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. The event will include a chili dinner and silent auction. All proceeds benefit the baseball team. For more information contact Lisa Wood at firstname.lastname@example.org
Students in the transition education class at the West Plains High School have greater challenges than most because of their disabilities. But despite these challenges, the students still have dreams of living on their own, having a rewarding job and raising a family.
