  About Me

Sue Bowles graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Columbia, certified to teach Educable Mentally Handicapped students grades 1-12. She began her teaching career in St. Louis. It was there where her 3 boys, Danny, Tommy, and Joey were born.  She left teaching for 11 years to raise her family. In 1995 her family we moved to West Plains where, in 1997, she began with the West Plains R-7 Parents as Teachers Program, serving families as a Parent Educator.  She stayed in that position for 5 years, 2 of those years as a State Trainer for the Parents as Teachers Program. In 2002 she received certification to teach Early Childhood Special Education. She began her position as a ECSE teacher where she is currently. In addition to teaching, Sue serves families as a Parent Advisor for MO Spin, (an outreach program for the Missouri School for the Blind.)
