The community is a vital partner of the West Plains School District and the district wants to learn about your experiences in our schools. Now through January 30th West Plains Schools invites the community to participate in a school community survey process called Thoughtexchange. In an effort to continue to improve education for our children, the district wants to understand community perspectives, hear the community’s thoughts and learn their priorities.
At the regularly scheduled January board meeting, The West Plains School District Board of Education voted unanimously to extend the contract for Dr. John Mulford through June of 2018. This decision came as part of the West Plains School Board’s annual review of the superintendent. Dr. Mulford is completing his second year as superintendent helm and has received high marks from the School Board regarding his contribution to the district and the community.
Over 4500 first year FFA members from more than 300 Missouri High Schools had the opportunity to learn about being positive role models, learning to get involved, making sound choices, becoming active team members and making a positive difference in their lives, school and community at the annual Greenhand Motivational Conferences
Following an extensive 18-month process, South Central Career Center is pleased to announce a six-year accreditation from the Council on Occupational Education, the longest period allowable.
