Several West Plains Middle School science classes were in for a treat when Dr. Allan Pringle, a physics professor at Missouri S&T, spent a day just before Thanksgiving break conducting many exciting and educational experiments for the students in Mrs. Hamby's classroom. In this photo, Dr. Pringle introduced a liquid nitrogen experiment to the children.
Over 10,000 plastic bags were collected by West Plains Middle School 6th grade students as part of a recycling project. The bags were given to JCPenney of West Plains for their recycling program.
The West Plains Middle School Beta Club brought 60 of its sixth-, seventh-, and eighth graders to the West Plains Civic Center Tuesday morning Oct. 14 to help Ozarks Food Harvest volunteers distribute food to more than 165 Howell County families.
